Modi recalls President Mukherjee's guidance during his initial days as PM

Modi said it has been his good fortune to have worked with and learnt from President Mukherjee, a statement said

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday recalled the guidance extended by President Pranab Mukherjee to him during the initial days of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government which came to power in 2014.

Releasing a book Rashtrapati Bhavan: From Raj to Swaraj and presenting its first copy to the President, Modi recalled Mukherjee's guidance in the initial days of his Prime Ministership, and hoped that the nation would continue to benefit from his experience for a long period.

He said it has been his good fortune to have worked with and learnt from President Mukherjee, a statement said.

The President turned 81 on Sunday.

 

The Prime Minister said that the three books released on Sunday gave an insight into various aspects of Rashtrapati Bhavan, including its history, and the life and activities of its residents.
