Told Pakistan about Dawood's presence: Shinde

He said he had full faith in the work of Indian intelligence agencies

IANS New Delhi

India has been telling Pakistan that fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim was on its territory and should be handed over, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said Saturday.

"Our information is that he is in somewhere in Pakistan and he should be handed over. We have been saying this," Shinde told media persons at his monthly press conference here.

He said he had told then Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik about India's concerns on Dawood Ibrahim, a mastermind of Bombay serial blasts of 1993.

Shinde said the don had been termed as a terrorist by the US. He said he had full faith in the work of Indian intelligence agencies.

"They are working very well," Shinde said.
