A woman was killed and two others, including a minor, were injured after an induction cooktop exploded in Howrah district today, police said.
The incident happened at a house at Jujarsaha under the jurisdiction of Panchala police station, the police said.
Two woman and a 6-year-old girl were in the house when the induction cooktop exploded and all of them were seriously injured, a police officer said.
They were taken to a state-run hospital in kolkata where one woman died, the officer said, adding that the other two injured were fighting for their lives at the hospital.
