1 killed, 6 injured in clash

One person was killed and six others suffered injuries in a clash between two groups here today, police said.

Superintendent of Police Jaiprakash told PTI, "There was a quarrel among children in Daha village yesterday. Later, the elders joined in and there was a tension between the two sides."

The matter worsened today with both sides engaging with each other with sharp-edged weapons.

"Papan (30) died in the clash, while six other were injured. The injured have been hospitalised," the police officer said.

A heavy police force has been deployed in the area.
