Public transport in Gurgaon is set to be bolstered as 100 electric AC buses and 100 non-AC low floor buses would soon ply on the city's roads, an official said today.
Decks have also been cleared for the launch of 100 other buses in Gurgaon, an official spokesperson said.
He said that a decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of Board of Directors of Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL).
The board decided to start the process of selection of concessionaires for 100 electric AC buses and 100 non-AC low floor buses, he said. With this, GMCBL hopes to operate 400 buses in Gurgaon by mid-2019, he said.
