100 kg cannabis seized

West Bengal CID have seized 100 kg of cannabis from Dakshineswar in north Kolkata and arrested four persons in connection with it, a senior official of the department said today.

The seizure was made yesterday following by a team of CID officers of the special operations group following a tip-off.

They followed an ambulance, which was coming from Odisha from Dhulagar in Howrah district and intercepted it at Dakshineswar in North 24 Parganas. During the search 100 kg of cannabis was found stashed inside the ambulance, the officer said.
