11-year old girl goes on fast for prohibition

A 11-year old girl caused a flutter today when she launched an indefinite fast here demanding implementation of total prohibition in Tamil Nadu but gave up the protest after being persuaded by police.

Jothima, studying fourth standard, along with her father commenced the fast this morning at the District Collectorate.

Police persuaded both of them to withdraw the fast and disperse.
