'12 Years' star Chiwetel Ejiofor to play drug trafficker

Chiwetel Ejiofer, the Oscar-nominated star of '12 Years A Slave', is all set to play a convicted British drug trafficker in a movie.

The film is an adaptation of 2003 book 'Marching Powder: A True Story of Friendship, Cocaine, and South America's Strangest Jail' by Australian journalist Rusty Young and Thomas McFadden about McFadden's life in the San Pedro Prison in La Paz, Bolivia, reported Variety.

Ejiofor will be seen next in John Hillcoat's thriller 'Triple Nine'.
