13-year-old girl raped by tenant

A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her tenant when she was alone at the house in Shamli district, police said today.

According to a complaint lodged by the victim's parents, the accused allegedly raped the girl yesterday in his room. The victim was brought to their room by his wife, they said.

A case has been registered against the absconding couple and hunt is on to nab them, police said, adding that the girl has been sent for medical examination.
