14-year-old girl abducted, raped

Arjun, a farm labourer, forcibly took away the girl on a motorcycle he stole from his employer on Thursday in Singhanwala village, SSP (Moga) Surjit Singh Grewal said.

Arjun was spotted along with the girl near Moga-Barnala road today, the SSP said.

On seeing the police, he abandoned his motorcycle and the girl and fled, he said.

On the statement of the girl, Arjun was booked for rape and abduction, the SSP said adding efforts were on to nab him.
