A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her maternal uncle here, police said today.
"The victim had come to maternal uncle house at Bisrakh area. Few days ago she was sleeping on roof when her uncle allegedly raped her," they said.
Later the victim informed about the incident to paternal uncle. Subsequently, both the families tried for patch up to save family honour, police said.

However, the victim refused to accept elders' request of forgiving her accused uncle.
An FIR was lodged against the accused uncle, police said, adding that efforts were on to nab the accused who was absconding.
