141 cartons of smuggled liquor seized in Jewar, 3 held

Three persons were today arrested and 141 cartons of smuggled liquor were seized from them in three different areas here, police said today.

Jewar police station in-charge Ajay Kumar Sharma said a police team intercepted a vehicle on Jhuppa Road and seized 135 cartons of smuggled liquor and arrested Satveer.

In the second incident, Dinesh was arrested from Bangarpur with three cartons of allegedly smuggled liquor.

From Alawa area near Banwaridas village, one Surinder was arrested with three cartons of allegedly smuggled liquor.

The liquor was manufactured in Haryana and was smuggled into Jewar area possibly for supply to voters.
