15 killed in China boat tragedy

The death toll in a leisure boat capsize in southwest China's Sichuan province rose to 15 as one more body was found, rescuers said today.

So far rescuers had retrieved 14 bodies of victims. Three people survived.

The accident happened on June 4, when a boat with 18 on board capsized in Bailong Lake in Guangyuan city.

Four people were rescued immediately after the accident, among them was a child later died in the hospital.

Authorities blamed strong gales for the accident.
