At least 15 people, including children, were killed and 30 others injured in a suicide bomb attack targeting a church here in restive northwestern Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today, police said.
The blast occurred in one of the oldest Church of Peshawar situated in a very congested locality which is always jam packed with the people mostly women as the area is the hub markets and shopping centres.
The police said the bomber exploded himself up when people were coming out of the church after Sunday service.
The Christian community lives in the vicinity and visited the church for Sunday service in large number.
SSP operation Najeebullah said the blast was carried out by a suicide bomber killed 10. But independent sources said at least 15 died in the explosion.
