15 people arrested for attack on a hotel on Nashik-Peint road

Rural police arrested more than 15 people involved in attack on a hotel on the Nashik-Peint road on Wednesday night in which three people were killed, the police said here today.
Hundreds of villagers, who got enraged after a death of youth, Shriram Shekhare (30) in Golshi village in Dindori taluka of Nashik district, attacked Hotel Aarati on the Nashik-Peint road.
Allegedly, they ransacked furniture and beat up the hotel staff in which owner Ramesh Sonawane and a cook Manoj Patil were killed. The mob also allegedly attempted to set the petrol pump owned by Sonawane on fire, the police said.

Villagers got enraged after a dead body of of Shriram Shekhare was found early yesterday in a field, near the hotel.
Shekhare and his friends Kiran Dhakane as well as Ramesh Gaikwad had gone to Hotel Aarati on Wednesday night. There was an altercation between them and hotel owner Ramesh Sonawane over the quality of food after which they allegedly beat up the youths due to which Shekhare died.
The police deployed a state reserve force police platoon and registered offences of murder, the police said.
