As many as 16 persons were arrested here today allegedly for gambling and overRs 5 lakh cash was seized from them, police said.
A raid was conducted at a lodge here by the sleuths of special branch, in which 16 persons were arrested and over Rs 5 lakh in cash was seized from them. Seventeen mobile phones were also recovered from their possession, Vizianagaram police said in a release.
The accused have been handed over to I TownPolice Station for investigation, it said.
