At least 17 Chinese soldiers have been killed in an accidental explosion at an armoury in central China's Hunan Province.
The accident occurred yesterday at Hengyang City in Hunan as soldiers were piling up ammunition, state-run Xinhua news agency said in a brief report.
No cause for the explosion was given and authorities were investigating, it said.
