Uttar Pradesh government has suspended two deputy jailors and six prison guards for allegedly taking money and providing facilities to prisoners.
Deputy Jailor, Muzaffarnagar, Shailendra Srivastava, Deputy Jailor, Meerut VK Singh and six prison guards have been suspended after their name figured in a sting operation taking money for providing facilities to prisoners, IG Law and Order R K Vishwakarma told reporters here.
A probe in this regard has been handed over to IG Prisons A K Panda, he said.
According to a sting operation, these policemen used to provide facility to prisoners in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Dasna (Ghaziabad) jails after taking money.
