Two crew members died when they inhaled some poisonous gas while unloading wooden logs from the hold of a ship here today, officials said.
Victor Mohan and Jhobian, both aged around 45, had gone to the hold to count the number of logs that remained to be unloaded when they inhaled the gas and died, they said.
Fire service personnel retrieved the bodies and handed them over to police.
The ship had come from Panama and the crew were working for a shipping company which was the handling agent for import and export companies, officials said.
