2 electrocuted after touching live wire

Two youths died after coming in contact with a live wire kept around a farm land at Nodakhali in South 24 Parganas district today, police said.

The two youths scaled the fence to fetch cucumber when they touched the live wire and were electrocuted.

They fell inside the fenced area and were taken out by locals after power connection was snapped. They were declared brought dead at primary health centre.

A mob then vandalised the residence of the farm land owner who and his family members were absconding, police said.

A strong police force was posted in the area.
