2 girls drown in pond

Two girls drowned today in a pond

in a village in Bihar's Katihar district, a police officer said.

Sajeeda Khatun (8) and Saqiya Khatun (6) met watery grave when they slipped in deep water of a pond taking bath at Harnathpur village, Balia Block police station in-charge Anupam Kumar said.

The bodies have been fished out.
