2 girls run over by train

Two girls were today run over by an express train on Deoria Sadar-Bhatni route in Kotawali area, police said here.

Yasmin (14) and Nagma (15) were run over by Amrapali Express between Amritsar and Katihaar near Padri Mall village this morning, Government Railway Police sub-inspector Rajiv Singh said.

He said that the incident occurred when the girls were going to school in neighbouring Deoria Meer village.

The SI said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
