A man has been arrested for allegedly possessing 2 kg of ganja (cannabis) here, police said today.
During a routine check, police intercepted a pedestrian on the grounds of suspicion near Jammu Railway station yesterday and him in possession of two kilograms of cannabis,they said.
The person identified as Azadi Sahu of Bihar was immediately taken into custody, the officials stated.

A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against him, they said, adding the matter is being investigated.
Meanwhile, police also seized a truck and recovered 2 kg of poppy seeds from it on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jakhani belt of Udhampur district last night, police said.
The truck driver, Pradeep, was arrested and a case has been registered against him, they said.
