Two teachers were killed when their motorcycle collided with a jeep on a highway near Gaura Bazar here, police said today.
Rakesh Dubey (35) and Vijay Shankar (55) died when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a jeep on Rae Bareli-Varanasi National Highway here last night, they said.
The deceased, who were teachers at a college, were returning home after checking UP Board copies from the district headquarters when the incident occurred, police said.
The jeep driver sped away with the vehicle, they said, adding that efforts are on to apprehend the accused.
