"The government has launched the second phase of the CM's rural BPL housing scheme, which will benefit two lakh rural BPL families," an official release said here today.
Besides, as many as 91,411 rural BPL families will be benefited from Indira Gandhi Awas Yojna this year, it said.
Under the rural BPL housing scheme, launched last year, eligible families are provided with a subsidy between Rs 50,000 and Rs 45,000 for construction of houses.
As many as 2.75 lakh families had got the subsidy in the first phase (2011-12), the release said.
