Police today claimed to have solved the case of murder of a constable with the arrest of two suspected liquor smugglers from Kotban border this morning.
According to the SSP Manjil Saini, the arrested persons --Sunil Dutt and Jitendra-- allegedly killed constable Satish Chandra Yadav on November 5 using a rod.
Dutt, a resident of Bajada Pahari Pahra Village and Jitendra who hails from Sihol village in Palwal, confessed that they killed Yadav when he chased them on his motorcycle while they were trying to escape to Kosi Kalan by car, after breaking police barrier at Kotban border, Saini said.

The accused persons said that they were carrying smuggled liqour bottles in their car to Palwal, the SSP added.
Police also recovered a rod used in commission of the crime.
Yadav, who was on duty at Kotban border falling under Kosi Kalan police station with constable Arun Kumar on November 5 had chased the smugglers then on his motorbike. Both the smugglers also disclosed that they were supplying liquor to Vikrant of Kanjar colony Kosi Kalan since long.
