Two persons were killed when a high tension wire fell on them in Narholi village here, police said today.
The persons, identified as Rinku (20) and Dhirendra (25), were electrocuted when the high tension wire passing near the village fell on them, they said.
Meanwhile, infuriated over the incident, the locals blocked the Jalesar-Nidhauli road and raised slogans against the power department.
The locals claimed that they had urged the department several times to shift the high tension line which was passing very near the village but to no avail.
Senior police and administrative officials somehow pacified the protesters and the road was cleared after about eight hours.
