2 pilgrims from Gujarat killed in road mishap in Raj

Two pilgrims from Gujarat were today mowed down by a heavy vehicles along roadside at Paldi village in Sikar district, police said.

The deceased were identified as Prakash (35) and Dhood Singh (30), they said.

The incident occurred this morning when the pilgrims were on their way to Ramdevra pilgrimage in Jaisalmer district on foot, they said.

The unidentified heavy vehicle hit them from behind and fled from the spot, they said.

Both were rushed to a government hospital in Sirohi but they succumbed to their injuries, police added.
