2 teenage boys drown as boat capsizes

Two teenage boys drowned in river Saryu in Fakharpur area here after a boat capsized, police said today.

The incident occurred last evening when Luvkush (13) and Vinod (15) had gone to graze their cattle in Bhilaura village and started playing on an empty boat near the river bank, they said.

However, the boat which was not anchored, capsized and the children drowned, police said.

The bodies have not been fished out yet, they said.
