2 UP cops suspended for laxity

Two police officers of the rank of deputy superintendent of police were today suspended for laxity in investigations into cases of crime against women.

Uttar Pradesh Home Secretary Vishal Chauhan said deputy SP of Budhana in Muzaffarnagar Shailender Lal and circle officer of Chandpur in Bijnore Nirmal Kumar Bisht have been suspended with immediate effect.

Both the officials have been suspended for laxity and lack of foresight in dealing with cases of crime against women in their respective districts, the Home Secretary added.
