: Twentyone women dancers, allegedly brought to a pub here to perform obscene dance at a party, have been detained after a raid, police said.
Following information that the women were to perform the obscene dance at the pub on Sunday night, the place was raided and the women dancers were caught even as the organiser of the party fled the scene, a police official said
A case under section 294 (anyone indulging in an obscene act in any public place or sings or utters any obscene songs or words in any public place causing annoyance to others) and other relevant sections of the IPC was registered, the official said.
Notices were issued to the women dancers who were subsequently released, he added.
