24-year-old woman dies in celebratory firing

A 24-year-old woman was allegedly killed in celebratory firing during a marriage ceremony in Sitapur district, police said today.

According to the police, Shailendri, an onlooker at a marriage ceremony at Mawasapur village in Sadarpur area was killed last night after a stray bullet hit her during celebratory firing at the ceremony.

The matter is being probed, police added.
