25, including Delhi school students, injured in bus accident

Twenty-five persons, including some Delhi school students, were injured today after two private buses had a head-on collision here, police said.

Drivers of both the buses are also severely injured, they said.

The incident took place when a Volvo bus carrying school students collided head-on with a Narmada Travels bus carrying villagers on the Rewari-Narnaul road at Kund Turn, about 22 km from Rewari, they said.

The injured students were rushed to the trauma centre at Rewari where the doctors referred the two seriously injured drivers- Aashish (Narmada Travels bus) and Sachindra (Volvo) to the PGIMS, Rohtak.

At the time of the accident, the Volvo Bus was carrying the students of a Delhi school located in the Kashmere Gate area on a tour of Rajasthan via Narnaul whereas another bus was carrying passengers of various villages of the Khol area and was on its way from Narnaul to Rewari.
 

The Kund Chowki police, attached with the Khol Police station of the district, has booked the driver of the Narmada Travels for rash and negligent driving.
