Police today arrested three persons to foil a bid to smuggle bovines in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district.
Based on a reliable information, a police party intercepted a vehicle at the Majalta area in the district and seized 11 bovines, a police official said.
The vehicle was seized and three bovine smugglers identified as Ijaz, Kadam Hussain and Walli Mohammad of Anantnag district in south Kashmir and the Krishna area of Jammu district were arrested and a case was registered against them, the official said.
