Three ganja smugglers were arrested from Tendipadara in Odisha's Kandhamal district and a mauser and some ammunition seized from them, police said today.
Police also seized two cars and around 50-kg contraband from the accused when it was being transported from Phiringia to Khurda yesterday, Officer In-Charge of Phiringia police station Dhiren Behera said.
Those arrested were identified as Pramod Ranjan Sahu of Gudumu village in Khurda district, Sushant Kumar Sethi of Saranakula in Nayagarh district and Rajib Sahu of Phiringia, he said.
"Sahu was wanted in another ganja smuggling case," the OIC said adding three members of the gang managed to escape.
