According to the police sources, the deceased were identified as Surinder Pal Singh of Bilaspur, NRI Baljit Kaur of Lehli Khurd and a forest guard Kuldip Singh of Kapurthala.
The injured identified as Jatinder Kumar was admitted in a local hospital from where he was referred to DMC in critical condition.
The accident took place when the motorcycle, trying to overtake the car, skidded and the car driver, in a bid to save the motorcyclists rammed into a tree.
Car occupant Surinder Pal Singh and motorcyclist Kuldip Singh died on the spot while Baljit Kaur, who was accompanying Surinder, succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.
