3 killed in separate road mishaps in UP

Amit Gupta (22) was critically injured and rushed to Ursula Horsman Memorial Hospital after his motorcycle was hit by a truck at Chakeri area yesterday, a police spokesman said.

Gupta succumbed to his injuries late last night.

In the second accident, Kachchi Basti resident Amit and his brother Arvind were injured after a vehicle hit their cycle from the rear. Arvind died in hospital and Amit's condition was stated to be critical, the spokesman said.

In the third accident, a woman died and her husband and minor child were injured after their cycle was hit by a truck in Sachendi area.
