3 minor girls rescued from city hotel

Three minor girls were today rescued by a special team of Kolkata police from a private hotel in Kasba police station area, where they were confined for exploitation in flesh trade.

A top Kolkata Police officer said that acting on a tip off, a raid was conducted at the hotel on Rajdanga Main Road and the girls were rescued from the place which was used as a brothel and a transit for trafficking.

Five persons -- the owner and manager of the hotel besides two pimps and a customer -- were arrested from the spot, the officer said.
