A three-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy died in two separate incidents of snake bite in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh.
In the first incident, a three-year-old girl was bitten by a snake last evening when she was playing outside her house at Hajipur village under Kandha police station in Shamli district, the police said.
The child was rushed to a hospital where she was declared dead, they added.
In another incident, a-four-year old boy, Adesh, died while his father was seriously injured when a snake bit both of them when they were sleeping in their house at Alipur village under Karana police station in Shamli district yesterday.
The police said that both the victims were rushed to a hospital in Shamli where the boy was declared dead while his father was under treatment.
