30 injured in bus-truck collision

Thirty passengers were injured, four of them seriously, when a bus collided with a truck at Belda in West Midnapore district on NH-60 today.

A senior police officer said the bus bound for the sea resort of Digha, was travelling at a moderate speed when it collided head-on with the truck coming from opposite direction near Belda More.

The locals and police rescued the trapped passengers and rushed thirty of them to Belda Hospital.

Four of them were later shifted to Kharagpur General Hospital as their condition was stated to be serious.
