35 Bangladeshi fishermen arrested

Thirty-five Bangladeshi fishermen were arrested today by officers of Fraserganj police station in Sundarbans for catching fish inside Indian waters.

Fishermen of the neighbouring country were caught while catching fish inside the Indian territory, police said.

Two fishing trawlers, several fishing nets and one ton of fish were seized from them, they said.

The arrested fishermen will be produced before Kakdwip court tomorrow.
