4 brothers sentenced to 7 years in jail for murder bid

A fast-track court has sentenced four brothers to seven years' imprisonment for attempting to murder two persons by stabbing.
Judge Punam Rajput also imposed a fine of Rs 13,000 each on the convicts after holding guilty under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
According to government lawyer Ritu Choudhry, two people were stabbed by the brothers after an altercation in Rehmat Nagar locality here on June 6, 2010.
