The authorities have confirmed death of four persons in yesterday's boat tragedy in Mohana river with the recovery of three bodies including those of two children, even as the fate of rest eight passengers remained unknown.
Police said three bodies were fished out today while a woman, who was rescued last evening, died in hospital. The rest of the passengers are too feared drowned, they said.
A boat carrying 12 persons including three children capsized in the Mohana river near Elona Ghat in Tikuniya police station area of the district late last evening.
The Mohana river flows along Indo-Nepal border, and the Nepal police have also extended its support to trace the missing persons, a police officer said.
