Two days after protests were witnessed in Jawan area here by members of right wing outfits over recovery of a large consignment of meat, police have detained four persons for questioning to find out "local link".
Earlier, 11 people hailing from neighbouring Rajasthan, who were traveling in the meat-laden truck, were arrested from the spot on Sunday evening.
DIG Aligarh Zone Govind Agrawal said that police was working on vital proof in this case and a breakthrough was expected shortly.

The chance recovery of the meat-laden mini truck had sparked-off protests in and around Jawan township on Sunday evening.
The police are now searching for local links of the arrested persons, police said.
The incident triggered controversy after Samajwadi Party MLA from Kol, Haji Zamirullah yesterday evening alleged that the entire episode was part of a conspiracy hatched by the BJP to trigger communal tension in the state.
He alleged that the arrested persons were connected to some BJP leaders from neighbouring Rajasthan.
