4 die in separate lighting strikes in UP

Four persons, including a woman and her daughter, were today killed after lightning struck them in different parts of the state, police said.

According to police, Kabootara Devi (50) and her daughter Pramila (25) were working at a field in Bhadohi when lightning struck.

Both of them were rushed to a hospital, where they were declared brought dead, police said, adding that their bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

In separate incidents, Saroj (12) and Anil (18) died today after lighting struck them in Gopiganj and Jalalpur areas of the state, police said.
