4 killed, 10 injured in TN road mishap

Four persons were killed and ten others injured when a car and a van collided at Kuppampalayam near here early this morning, police said.

The deceased, including a young couple, were returning to neighbouring Salem in the car after a pilgrimage to Kumbakonam while the occupants of the van were proceeding from here to Tiruchirappalli on a vacation tour when the mishap occurred.

District Collector V.Dakshinamurthy and Superintendent of Police S R Senthilkumar said the injured had been admitted to a private hospital here.
