4 killed, 6 seriously injured in mishap

: Four persons were killed on the spot and six others seriously injuried when the van in which they were travelling collided head on with a government bus near Oddanchattiram in this district early today.

The deceased included a one-year-old child, police said.

The bus was bound for Coimbatore and the van from Semmaimamdaipatti when the mishap occurred, police said

The injured persons have been hospitalised.
