Police busted a prostitution racket and arrested 33 sex workers and pimps, including Bangladeshis, after rescuing 43 minor girls.
On a tip off from Justice and Care, an NGO, police raided some houses at DC Nagar yesterday and arrested 21 sex workers including four Bangladesis and 12 pimps after rescuing 43 minor girls who were forced into prostitution," Bellary Superintendent of Police Chetan Singh Rathore told PTI here.
The rescued girls have been taken to a Bal Bhavan run by Karnataka government, he said.
He said Rs 4.59 lakh cash, accounts books and garments were seized from the possession of the arrested.
