47 minors caught watching porn at cyber cafes in Hyderabad

Nearly 47 minors have been caught watching porn and other objectionable content, and browsing internet at the cyber cafes in the city without parental supervision, police said today.

The action was taken as part of a special drive on internet cafes to check cyber offences and restrict minors from watching porn and other objectionable content online.

About 37 cases have been registered for alleged violation of different rules and regulations, in the drive conducted yesterday, a city police release said.

To curb cyber offences and to restrict minors involved in watching porn content, objectionable videos, pictures etc, and to prevent them from indulging in criminal activities against women and girls and spoiling their life in internet cafes, the South Zone cops conducted a special drive on cyber cafes under 17 police stations limits, it said.
 

Around 47 minors were taken into custody for counselling as they are watching porn and also browsing the internet without supervision of the parents, the release said.
