5 IPS officials transfered in West Bengal

In a reshuffle in the IPS cadre in West Bengal, five senior officers have been transferred to various positions within the state.

Sanjay Singh, the ADG and IGP of the Enforcement Branch, was transferred as the director of the Directorate of Economic Offences in the rank of ADG while Jawed Shamim, the Director of Directorate of Economic Offences (in the rank of IGP) was made the IGP, EB, a Home Department directive said today.

Kalyan Kumar Mallick, the IGP EB, was made the IGP Telecommunication while Sib Sankar Dutta, who was the IGP Telecommunication, was made the new Inspector General of Police of CID-II, it said.
 

Dr Tanmay Ray Chaudhuri, DIG HQs of the state was made the deputy director of Directorate of Economic Offences in the rank of DIG, it said.

Saikat Ghosh of the WBPS, who was the Additional DC Barrackpore Division of Barrackpore Police Commissionerate was made the Additional SP (East Zone), of South 24 Parganas district.
